Echelon Corporation complies with these measures by removing the identified substances from its products. These directives affect every hardware product manufactured by Echelon, and compliance requires changing to the use of lead-free solder followed by requalification/rehomologation of the parts. Almost all hardware products offered by Echelon are now available in RoHS-compliant version.
