This seminar introduces LonWorks device development with the LonTalk Framework and describes where the new development platforms can be used for creating LonWorks devices. This seminar also provides an overview of development with the platforms, and includes a hands-on session to examine, build, and load an example application using an Atmel ARM7 host with a ShortStack Micro Server. 	16:00-17:30	ISI Device Developer's Session (hands-on) Install devices without a network management tool The ISI Device Developer’s Seminar provides in-depth instruction and hands-on training for creating self-installed devices using Echelon’s new PL 3170 Smart Transceiver and the Interoperable Self-installation (ISI) protocol. The ISI protocol enables LonWorks devices to be self-installed automatically, manually at the push of a button, or remotely from a simple user interface. When using ISI, no network management tool is required to install devices or manage network configuration. The seminar introduces the ISI protocol, provides and overview of the available ISI profiles, and describes the Digital Home Alliance (DHA). The seminar also provides an overview of how to develop a self-installed device with the PL 3170 Chip and ISI, and includes a hands-on session to examine, build, and load an example ISI application using the NodeBuilder Development Tool and a PL 3150 EVB Evaluation Board.
