Echelon Appoints KPMG LLP as Auditor(SAN JOSE, CA - March 27, 2002) - Echelon Corporation (NASDAQ: ELON) today announced that the audit committee of its Board of Directors has appointed KPMG LLP as the company's independent auditor for 2002. This appointment concludes a rigorous selection process that was part of Echelon's annual formal review of auditing services. Prior to the selection of KPMG, Arthur Andersen LLP had served as the company's independent auditor.
