To Comply with Federal Regulation FD, Echelon is Providing Notice of Quarterly Earnings Conference Call

(San Jose, CA - April 8, 2002) - Echelon Corporation (NASDAQ: ELON) will be holding its quarterly earnings conference call for investors and analysts on April 11, 2002 at 2:00 pm PST. The earnings announcement itself is scheduled to cross the wire shortly after 1:00 pm PST. Echelon is sending out this release regarding Q1-2002 only to comply with Federal Regulation FD.
