Echelon Expands Training Services to Italy With New Authorized Training Partner ViaBus S.R.L.(San Jose, CA– September 25, 2003) - Echelon Corporation (NASDAQ: ELON), the creator of the LonWorks® device networking platform for networking everyday devices to each other and the Internet, announced today that ViaBus S.R.L. (ViaBus) has become an Authorized Training Partner. Under the terms of the agreement, ViaBus will offer native language LonWorks training to the Italian automation and device networking market using Echelon authorized training materials and approved courses. ViaBus is already a member of Echelon's LonWorks Independent Developer program and has extended its commitment to the LonWorks platform and Echelon in a move designed to take advantage of the growing market for LonWorks based open systems in Italy. The first three classes, LonWorks Network Design, Using the LonMakerT Integration Tool and Intro to the LonWorks Platform will be held between October 27th and November 14th, 2003.
