FTT-10A Free Topology Twisted Pair Transceiver

The FTT-10A Free Topology Twisted Pair Transceiver, used with a Neuron® microprocessor, frees system installers from bus topology wiring. The FTT-10A does not cause field failures associated with polarity-sensitive technologies, like BACnet/MSTP using RS485.

  • Free-topology technology enables wiring in any configuration to suit the needs of the application — star, bus/drop, ring, or mixed
  • Lowers cost by reducing the time and expense of system installation; Also simplifies network expansion by eliminating restrictions on wire routing, splicing, and node placement
  • Higher field reliability because wires can be crossed from one device to the next without causing errors; Proven reliable in tens of millions of devices for mission critical control applications
  • Well isolated for reliable communications; 78kbps up to distances of 500 meters (free topology) or up to 2,700 meters using double terminated bus (worst case)
  • Ideal for multiple products within building automation systems: HVAC, access, lighting, elevators, and many others; Standards listings include UL, CSA, TÜV recognized component
