The SmartServer (and its predecessor, the iLON® 100, referenced in this Flash presentation) bridges the functionality between a LonWorks® control infrastructure and remote software applications.
The SmartServer controls, monitors, and manages virtually any electronic device and offers energy-saving benefits for many industries and applications. It lets you quickly connect facilities, manage across any IP connection, and avoid deploying a purpose-built communications network.
It can also act as a network manager, supporting custom applications and drivers to help you expand and build higher-value solutions. Operating in standalone mode, the SmartServer can use repeating to ensure reliable communications even in the harshest electrical environments.
