MIP Developer's Kit
Turn new or existing smart devices into networked, Internet-accessible ones — while preserving your code investment.
The MIP Developer's Kit offers device manufacturers a robust, virtually limitless solution for applications of any size. The MIP software lets you add substantial new functionality to your smart device by leveraging its existing 8-, 16-, or 32-bit microcontroller and software. Just add MIP interface code to make your devices communicate with other smart devices over the Internet and across LonWorks control networks. From there, you can add remote diagnostics, maintenance, monitoring, and control services to your products, and they can become part of integrated home, industrial, building, and transportation systems.
The MIP software opens the ANSI/CEA-709.1 (EN14908) protocol to a variety of hosts including PCs, workstations, embedded microprocessors, and microcontrollers.

MIP Versions
Choose from two MIP Developer's Kits.
The Model 23200 MIP/P20 and MIP/P50 Developer's Kit
- Includes MIP firmware that communicates with your host using an 11-wire parallel interface.
- The MIP/P20 is optimized for the Neuron 3120 Chip or Smart Transceiver, providing the lowest-cost network interface.
- The MIP/P50 offers higher performance and is intended for use on a Neuron 3150 Chip or Smart Transceiver.
The Model 23210 MIP/DPS Developer's Kit
- Includes MIP firmware that communicates with your host using a dual-ported RAM interface, providing the hightest throughput with the lowest host overhead.
