Network Interfaces

Add a PC to your LonWorks control network—quickly and affordably!

Our network interfaces are the highest-performance, highest-quality, lowest-cost network interfaces available. Compatible with desktop and notebook PCs, and featuring a wide range of channel and interface options, there's a solution for every need.

Compatibility

• All network interfaces are compatible with LNS and OpenLDV applications on Windows 2000, Windows XP, and Windows Server 2003.
• The PCLTA-20, PCLTA-21, PCC-10, and SLTA-10 also work with LNS and OpenLDV applications on Windows 98 and Windows NT.
• All network interfaces except the SLTA-10 and i.LON 10 work with the LonScanner Protocol Analyzer.

Drivers

• Drivers for the i.LON 10, i.LON 100, U10, and U20 interfaces are integrated into OpenLDV—no other driver is needed.
• For all other interfaces, you'll need a separate driver in addition to OpenLDV.

Serial Gateway Modules

If you need to connect non LonWorks enabled equipment (with a EIA-232 serial interface) to a LonWorks network, you can quickly and easily support any serial protocol by using the PSG-20 and PSG/3 Programmable Serial Gateways. You can support any serial protocol as the PSG-20 and PSG/3 are programmed in the C language using highly productive built-in serial libraries. Typically serial gateway development can be completed in a few days. These serial gateway modules are a popular networking option for equipment old or new, or one-off equipment that does not presently embed a LonWorks interface.

The SIMM sockets supplied by Molex used to connect PSG-20 and LTS-20 to the circuit boards are obsoleted and unavailable for purchase by Molex. However, Echelon has secured a supply of these connectors. These connectors are available for sale by Echelon in equal or lower quantities of purchase of PSG-20 or LTS-20.
