Element Manager Software
The browser-based Element Manager provides network analysis for the millions of smart grid devices enabled through the Control Operating System (COS). It provides visual statistics, automated network management functions, user rights management, auditing and logging, and time-saving diagnostics. You can now solve problems in real time and avoid long delays due to gathering data from systems, departments, or people.
- Manage alarms, events, and devices including data concentrators, edge control nodes, smart meters, and devices accessed through M-Bus, smart-meter multi-use expansion ports (MEP), and Control Point Modules
- Graphical browser-based user interface supports up to 20 simultaneous users with 10 actively performing operations; No client software to install
- Comprehensive user rights lets you segment privileges and responsibilities
- Performance dashboard provides real-time smart grid health and performance, including meter readings, power-quality data, historical billing, system statistics, and critical events; Speeds troubleshooting with powerful sort and filter functions for meter, MEP, M-Bus, Control Point Module, Data Concentrator, and Edge Control Node (ECN) data
- Imports smart meter, data concentrator, and ECN information to add and update via spreadsheet; Exports reports, audits, and message logs as comma-separated, XML, and PDF files.
Refer to the Element Manager datasheet (PDF) for more complete specifications.

The Networked Energy Services (NES) system is an open, extensible, field-proven platform for managing millions of commercial, consumer, and utility smart grid devices. The system uses our patented power line technology to communicate over the existing power line carrier system. It includes:
NES System Software
A secure network operating system that includes powerful application programming interfaces (APIs) for configuring, provisioning, installing, controlling, diagnosing, and reporting on NES devices, including smart meters.
Edge Control Node
An open, secure, scalable hardware and software platform that bridges the low- and medium voltage distribution system. It connects smart grid devices to utility enterprise software, and its published interfaces can be used to build function- and geography-specific software and wired or wireless expansion cards.
NES Data Concentrator
A smart grid networking gateway that commissions, updates, and gathers data from compatible smart meters and other smart grid devices. It reports trouble conditions, ensures security and communications reliability, and to conserve bandwidth, compresses data before forwarding.
NES Smart Meters
ANSI and IEC commercial and residential meters with extensive metering capabilities, software-controlled disconnect switch, and information display. NES smart meters have been field-proven to be 99.5% reliable.
NES Control Point Module
An embedded module that enables manufacturers to add our proven power line technology to smart grid devices, such as solar panel micro-inverters, load-control modules, power-quality sensors, pool pumps, and electric-vehicle chargers.
