LNS® Device Plug-in Framework Developer's Kit
This LonWorks® Network Services (LNS®) developer’s kit provides an API and framework for developing plug-ins that extend the functionality of LNS management tools. With plug-ins, manufacturers can simplify the configuration, monitoring, and control of their devices, and integrators can adapt tools to reduce the time and cost of installing, configuring, and maintaining control networks.
- Supports efficient development and distribution of LNS device plug-ins used to ease tasks such as manufacturer-specific device configuration and network maintenance
- Creates code to automatically register plug-ins in the computer’s registry, supplying interoperation with LNS tools
- Includes example software and framework assemblies for developing with .NET programming languages such as C# and Visual Basic .NET
- Provides packaging of the plug-in API and COM (tool) interaction for streamlined distribution and installation of your plug-ins
- Includes convenient and detailed online help
