LonBridge™ Server

LonBridge™ Server is a software tool that lets you develop applications that monitor and control interoperable self-installation (ISI) devices on a LonWorks® network. Typical applications include in-home displays and controllers.

  • Supports simple setup of networks of ISI devices and home user interface (UI) applications
  • Interfaces with up to 200 devices
  • Supports automatic discovery of ISI devices
  • Provides an easy-to-use programmatic interface based on exchanging XML requests and responses over IP sockets
  • Provided as portable C source code with example ports to Windows® and Linux® and includes an example application and simple configuration utility for Windows

You can use any development tool that supports communicating with IP sockets to create applications that interface with LonBridge Server. Example development tools that support communicating with IP sockets include the .NET programming tools in Microsoft® Visual Studio® and any Java™ development tools.
