NodeBuilder® FX Development Tool

The NodeBuilder® FX Development Tool is a complete development environment for creating networked devices based on the Echelon Series 5000 and Series 3100 Neuron® microprocessors and smart transceivers. It includes the Neuron C Compiler, Assembler, Linker, Code Wizard, Code Editor, Debugger, and Project Manager.

  • Two editions supply complete hardware and software development systems for FT or power line applications; software-only and classroom-use editions are also available
  • Complete toolset for the Neuron C programming language that makes it easy to develop applications to communicate on a control network and interface with I/O hardware.  The toolset includes:
    • Neuron C compiler and integrated development environment
    • Built-in code wizard
    • Integrated programmer's editor and source-level debugger
  • Includes the market-leading LonMaker® Integration Tool to easily install and test devices in functional networks
  • Provides integrated support for developing devices that communicate with the ISO/IEC 14908‑1 Control Network Protocol
  • Supports applications with up to 254 network variables for robust LonWorks® open standard control networking applications for new or existing products

NodeBuilder Resource Editor (PDF)
The NodeBuilder Resource Editor is a utility that lets you view standard resource definitions and view, create, and modify custom resource definitions.  Resources include network variables types, configuration property types, enumeration types, string definitions, and functional profiles.

LNS® Device Plug-in Framework Developer’s Kit
The LNS® Device Plug-in Framework Developer’s Kit makes it easy to develop LNS plug-ins that make your devices easier to install and configure with LNS tools.

LonMaker® Integration Tool
The LonMaker® tool enables you to design and commission control networks through a combination of the industry-standard LNS network operating system and a user-friendly Microsoft® Visio® interface.

LonScanner™ FX Protocol Analyzer
The LonScanner™ FX Protocol Analyzer is a software tool that enables you to observe and analyze the behavior of a LonWorks channel.

For complete specifications and ordering information, see the NodeBuilder FX datasheet (PDF).

Operating system: Microsoft Windows® 7 (32-bit), Windows Vista® (32-bit), or Windows XP

Minimum hardware:

  • Intel Pentium® III 600MHz processor
  • 2GB RAM for Windows 7 or Windows Vista; 512MB RAM for Windows XP
  • CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drive
  • 1,024 x 768 or higher-resolution display with at least 256 colors
  • Mouse or other Windows compatible pointing device
