If you develop or install Power Line Smart Transceivers, you'll want to check out the PLCA-22 Power Line Communication Analyzer. This rich, easy-to-use tool validates our smart transceivers in your target environment. It also helps you understand the characteristics of your environment—before you embark on any development effort.

Features

The PLCA-22 lets you measure key communication parameters, including:

Attenuation tolerance/communication margin
Signal-to-noise ratio
Bit error rate
Pure physical layer performance vs. performance with the LonTalk® protocol switched on
Relative phase

The Power Line Communication Analyzer is sold as a pair, and testing couldn't be easier. Simply plug the units into two points in your control network to emulate two Power Line Smart Transceiver-based network devices. Select one unit to be the transmitter; the other is automatically configured to be the receiver.

The PLCA-22 includes an EIA-232 output port for logging test results on a PC.
