Echelon Product Alerts
Date Products Affected Summary Solution 1. When you power up the new EVB, LED1 flashes to indicate that the EVB is in CENELEC configuration mode. LED8 indicates whether the CENELEC access protocol is enabled or disabled—if the LED8 is on, the CENELEC access protocol is enabled. 2. Enable or disable the CENELEC access protocol by pressing SW8 until LED8 indicates your desired selection. 3. Press SW1 to confirm your selection and exit CENELEC configuration mode. You only need to follow this procedure once per board—your selection is saved in non-volatile memory. See Chapter 8 of the PL 3120/PL 3150 Smart Transceiver Data Book for more information about the CENELEC access protocol Alternative Solution You can also solve this problem by replacing the PROM on the PL 3150 EVB with a PROM containing a custom application image that you create with the Mini EVK or NodeBuilder® software. For this solution, see the Mini EVK User’s Guide or the NodeBuilder User’s Guide for instructions on how to create a custom application image.
