Return Materials Authorization (RMA)

We'll replace any Echelon product that has failed within its 1-year warranty free of charge. If your product meets this criteria, please fill out the form below.

Echelon's RMA Policies
Please read our policies regarding the return and replacement of parts under warranty:

  • Echelon will issue return authorization and provide free replacement only for Echelon products that have failed under warranty.
  • You must contact Echelon's Product Support department to request an RMA number.
  • Echelon may, at its discretion, ask you to send the product(s) back for examination before granting an RMA.
  • Echelon may need to contact you to determine more information about the failure mode.
  • Echelon will issue return authorization and offer free replacement only for Echelon products that haven't been tampered with and/or altered from their original state.
  • Echelon will give you an RMA number and directions for returning the authorized product within two business days of receiving the completed RMA request form. You may not return the product before receiving this authorization. Any product returned to Echelon without prior authorization will be rejected and returned to the sender.
  • Customers are responsible for paying freight charges to send their product back to Echelon. International customers should indicate that the products are being shipped for warranty replacement so that duties will not be charged on their shipment. Echelon will pay freight charges for the replacement product that is shipped to the customer.
  • Echelon will ship the replacement product for an authorized return within one business day of receiving the completed RMA request form (depending on stock availability).

The model number can be found on the product. It's usually a 5-digit number, sometimes with a 2-digit extension, such as 12345 or 12345-12.

The serial number can be found either on the product, or on the first CD of the software or CD case. The serial number starts with a 98, 99, or 00 (for example: 9812C02, 9912C02-12345, or 0051A21).
